Good leasehold

One of four classes of property title which can be registered at the Land Registry. A person with a Good leasehold title is in the same position as a person holding an absolute title (the best), except for one thing. It is that there is no guarantee that the lease has been validly granted.

Ground rent

A sum paid by a leaseholder to the freeholder in respect of a leasehold property. Ground rent is usually paid annually.

Guardian

In Scots law a Guardian is a person who can enter into a contract on behalf of a young person.

Guarantor

A person who promises to be answerable for the debt of another is called a Guarantor .
